New Year's Eve Sparkle

My best friend is having a New Year's Eve party this year, and the theme is sparkle, gold, silver, and black. I am so excited, but I need the perfect outfit. I have a silver and black sequined dress I have never worn before from Urban Outiftters, but I think I want a whole new look. When searching for a New Year's Eve outfit, one of the best places to search is NastyGal. Here are a few of my favorite pieces from their New Year's lookbook.

Frogg[crepes&coffee]

There is a new crepe and coffee bar in Allen called Frogg. It is so delicious, and a perfect spot for brunch with the girls or a quiet place to cram in your studies. I highly recommend their Nutella&Banana crepe with a latte. For a coffee addict like myself, this is a very exciting new place for me. If you have the urge to feel like you are in a small cafe in Paris, check Frogg out. Au revoir!

S(mitten) for Kate Spade

Here in Texas, cold weather is not a familiar thing. It is December 10th, and we just got our first cold day this Christmas season. With that being said, mittens are not something we normally own as Texans. But on Christmas Day, I am traveling to New York with my best friend, and I know how cold it will be there. I came across these adorable mittens on Kate Spade, and they soon will be added to my Christmas list. I am fonder of the yellow "TAXI" mittens. They seem like an acceptable accessory for the big apple.

Trend Alert: Wine Colored Lips

I'm normally a light pink/nude kind of lip girl. So the fact that this trend has become attractive to me surprises me. This week I am going to buy either a chanel or YSL dark rouge lipstick. I cannot decide between the two. These lovely ladies pull off the look so spectacularly.

Black Friday & Birthday Snags

In earlier posts, I talked about Black Friday shopping and my birthday wish list. I thought I would just combine what I snagged for Black Friday and was gifted for my birthday in one post. I am so happy for the new additions to my closet.

During Black Friday, I crammed into the tiny sale section at Urban Outiftters at 5am and snatched the perfect denim jacket with leather sleeves for only $20!

And for my birthday, I received two out of three the items on my birthday wish list (refer back to previous post). My mimi sent me the faux fur leather coat from Nastygal and my mom & dad got me a Michael Kors Watch. It may have not been the exact one I asked for, but it is beautiful. It is rosegold with a pearl face, and sparkly on the inside, but not too girly and dainty since it is a bulkier watch.

Silver Linings Playbook Review

 
I recommend this movie to anyone who believes in love, enjoys a little crazy, and blunt honesty. We need more people in this world like these two characters. Okay maybe not the crazy part, but the honesty these two portrayed. People are too scared to tell people how they really feel and nothing ever gets solved. Even though the truth sometimes hurts at first, it always ends up being the best action. I just loved how this movie showed everyone can find love even if it's not with the person they planned it to be with. It was a sad story line covered up with humor. Please go see it, and tell me your thoughts on the movie.

Birthday Wish List

Next Wednesday, December 5th, I finally turn 18. I am so happy! I am not doing anything exciting for my birthday except probably a big dinner with my friends. But the one thing I am excited for is seeing A Christmas Story in theaters on December 5th. It is a limited time showing, and it is one of my family's favorite movies, and it just so happens to fall perfectly on my birthday. I cannot wait to spend my last birthday at home with my family because next year I will be spending my birthday in college stressing over finals. Scary. I do not know if I want to grow up. I am excited for a magical Wednesday with my friends and family next week though. HAPPY HAPPY DAY full of cupcakes & sparkle.
