Beginning of and Ending

Monday marked the first day of my senior year. Now the list of endings has begun. I can't believe next year I will be starting over with new friends in a new place, an unknown. Something I deeply fear. This means I must cherish every last second of everyday with the people I have known the longest in the city I call home. To start off an amazing year, I had a breakfast with some of my best friends; the people who will walk this last walk through high school as an adolescent with me. I got ideas from Breakfast Pinterest Boards to make the cutest breakfast I could. It was a wonderful morning spent with beautiful friends, laughter, Starbucks coffee, pictures, and the beginning of a happy/scary/fabulous/fulfilled ending.

INSTA INSTA

I've been trying to relax these past two weeks since I start my senior year of high school on Monday. Here is just a look at my past couple of days through instagram.

Yesterday was my lovely parent's 26th wedding anniversary. This is my favorite picture of the two on their wedding day//So vintage
My sister and I had a full out back to school shopping day yesterday at Northpark, but before we left I made a delicious breakfast for us.//homeade waffles, coffee, and egg whites
I kind of took a break from my sewing machine this summer since I was so busy, but I am back at it again. I want to take a fashion sketching class and some basic sewing classes so I can design some ready to wear outfits for myself to wear!
I ordered two pairs of my favorite loafers for the fall.//studs, mint green, & leopard
My family took a mini road trip to Norman, Oklahoma last weekend to visit my older sister at OU. I had some roadtrip essentials to get me through the drive//Marie Claire, Teen Vogue, & Cold Tangerines
I also ordered some new glasses from Warby Parker. If you are looking for a new pair of glasses check out Warby Parker's website. //Preston grimlet tortoise
I am attempting to finish my summer reading, but I keep getting distracted by Gossip Girl and Sex and the City reruns, so I escaped to a coffee shop in a local bookstore and read a little.// The Paris Wife & Carmael Macchiato

Fall Essentials

After reading half of my September issues, I now have a good idea of the future fall 2012 trends. I still need to read Vogue to get the full scoop, but from Marie Claire & Teen Vogue, I can tell you a few of the trends. I am very excited for fall with dark colors, leaves changing colors, fall tv shows, football, cool weather, boots, and sweaters.
The trends I picked up on and love for this fall are: gothic/medieval, neo-baroque, equestrian, tailored/menswear, peplum, fur, & crystal clusters/sequins.

Here are a few fall 2012 inspirations from Pinterest//

Blush Pink

My latest color obsession has been blush pink. I have stayed in love within the pastel family, moving on from seafoam/mint green, but there is something about the classy, simplicity of this color that you can keep sweet or edge up. A sheer blush dress would be perfect with a leather jacket or studded loafers.

Mashup of my Week

Getting back into the swing of things has been a mix stress and relaxation. Does that make sense? Possibly not, but it is only because I am trying to relax with this being my last real week of summer before my crazy life starts back up again, but I am constantly thinking about what I have to do in these next couple of weeks before the first day of my senior begins.

Goodbyes have been the toughest part because a bunch of my friends are leaving for college, and this year is going to bring a lot of change. Spending quality time with friends was my priority this past week. But the most stressful part of my week was beginning the process of college applications. I'm not quite sure I'm ready to grow up now.

New Stress Relief: a good book & a cup of coffee before bed
