My Week Seen Through Instagram

Monday: Sadly, this marked the last Younglife club with my favorite seniors ever. This girl right here, Lesley, is a huge blessing God put in my life.

Tuesday: At a ropes course, Courtney and I were fascinated my the tree faces. Who wouldn't be?
Wednesday: Trystan always wanting to be me. Younglife for life.
Thursday: The mug I got my momma for mother's day finally came in the mail. "I like how we don't even have to say out loud that I'm your favorite child." She of course agreed & loved it.
Friday: I attended the drill team's showcase, their end of year performance, and I gave some of my fantastic friends some flowers because they rock.
Saturday: I spent a relaxing day poolside with fresh fruit and cool water while sweating under the ridiculous Texas heat sun.

I loathe the fact that I have not updated my blog in a week, but no worries because I am back. I just needed a mini break from my computer.

Happy Momma's Day

This woman means the world plus more to my sisters and me. I am so glad we were at OU to visit Maggie so all of us could spend Mother's Day together. Yes we argue, yes we butt heads, but this fabulous momma made me a better person today. I love you momma.

Met Gala Beauts

These are a few of my favorite outfits from the 2012 Costume Institute Met Gala. Emily Blunt & John Krasinksi are one my favorite couple, but two they both rocked Calvin Klein. Emma Stone is always one of my favorite red carpet stunners, and she didn't disappoint me once again in Lanvin. January Jones made me take a double take in the bright yellow Prada, but I think it has grown on me. I do not even care how shapeless Florence Welche's McQueen gown is. I mean c'mon anything McQueen is PERFECT. Beyonce may have been my all time fav. It is not as amazing in the front as it is from the back. This lace & feathered combo Givenchy Haute Couture piece was magnificent in every way.
I am not super impressed with Camilla Belle's Ralph Lauren gown, but her make up & hair made it way more breathtaking. Scarlett Johansson graced herself in a beautiful Dolce & Gobanna gown. Diane Kruger's Prada gown had the perfect flow & color. The geometric shapes of Angela Lindvall's Prada dress caught my eye. Gwyneth Paltrow was flawless in this Prada mini. Carey Mulligan looked stellar in Prada. The shape was very flattering & cut at all the right places. The tulle adorned on the bottom of Leighton Meester's Stella McCartney gown made me go gaga.

Show Those Teeth

No specific reason to smile, but I am just so blessed to celebrate life itself. I am so blessed for everyone around me. I just recently discovered Whole Foods, and let me tell you it is great. My snack is granola with almond milk & in that Starbucks cup is organic mango lemonade. I want to be an organic freak now. So that is something to smile about. I am about to go take a picture with all the senior varsity cheerleaders for the football program. So that is two things to smile about; awesome friends & almost being a senior. I hope you find something that makes you smile today. :)

Three Weeks

My agenda is my bible & my coffee is my energy. You would think school would die down towards the end, but no teachers would rather cram everything they have into these few weeks. My brain is drained. I just keep having to tell myself that summer is right around the corner. It's supposed to be Motivational Monday right?

Prom Essentials

At my high school we have a senior prom, but I have many senior friends, and I went with them. The day of prom was so fun to get pampered. One of my best friends, Morgan, did my hair & make up. It was so perfect. She waterfall braided my hair, and then she curled it. She finished off my make up with a bronze shimmer for my eyeshadow. I had bought my dress a month ahead, so I was so excited to put it back on. Here were my prom essentials:

My lovely friend Morgan did my hair hair & make up. She did a beautiful job. I got the ideas from Pinterest. So if you are lost on what to do for your hair or make up use the girl's guide to everything: Pinterest.

Accessories are my favorite attribution to a fabulous outfit. My jewelry is actually not pictured. You can see my earrings in the next picture, but I wore large gold chandlier-type earrings with a jewel in the center, gold stack rings with a jeweled cross ring, and I did not wear any bracelets because my date gave me a beautiful orchid corsage. Pictured above: I brought my Michael Kors tote along to bring my clothes and toiletries for after prom, I used to my nude Tory Burch clutch, and my heels were gold sparkly Steve Madden pumps.

This is an idea of my final look. I fell absolutely in love with my dress the first second I saw it at Nordstrom. It is BCBG. The fit was so flattering & simple (which I love). I am with Morgan in this picture, who did my hair & make up!

4th of July

Jeffrey Campbell  $159.95           Jeffrey Campbell  $129.95            Free People $199
For some reason I have been obsessed with stars & stripes wedges. People may not think they are wearable any other time than the summer themed holiday, fourth of July, but I think they can add a little spunk to any outfit, anytime of the year. I need at least one of pair in my life. One reason I cannot wait to have a job is to have extra spending money, so I can buy more shoes.

One Year Left

I can not wrap my mind around the fact that high school is almost over. I mean I have a whole year left, but still that is ONE YEAR left in a town that I lived in basically my whole life. Some of my best friends are seniors, and they are leaving Allen for college in just 3 short months. Goodbyes are no fun. But there are also new hellos in my life I need to welcome as well in this upcoming school year; decisions- like where to go to college? Like what?! I am going to be filling out college applications this summer. Life seems so unreal right now.  opportunities- like becoming a wyldlife leader. After Younglife has helped lead me to a stronger relationship with God, I have been given an opportunity to be a wyldlife leader, which is Younglife for middle schoolers, to help them meet the most Perfect Love before they enter the harsh world of high school. independence- I will now begin to make big decisions on my own like having a job, filling out college applications, getting into college, finding roommates for college, figure out all housing plans for college, & planning out what I want to take in college. The main words I have listed are college, college, college. Basically in this one year left, that is all I can think about. I hope I can relax a little more about it though and just enjoy my last year with great friends and my awesome family!

Talented Friends

My awesome friend Gabby actually painted the mural in this picture. She is the one I am pointing at. I am so impressed with her artistic skills, as I always am, and slightly envious of her creative brain. As I designed dresses for my project in Phoenix, Gabby painted a mural in the performing arts center of Allen High School. The color and design really expresses the trends of the summer as well: neon, bright colors along with the pastel, neutral colors. I love being inspired by the ones I love. She's pretty impressive, huh?!
